The stone cladding on the second and third floors of this Diaz Beach apartment block had started coming loose and falling, a real danger to residents and cars below.

About this project

Working three storeys up meant safety came first. We put up scaffolding, barricaded the area underneath and worked in harnesses the whole way.

With the cladding off, the bay needed a proper base before it could be finished. Once that was done, we plastered and painted it in the building's existing colour. Today you'd never know it was ever clad. It looks like it was always part of the original design.
